Crunchy Leaves and Chevy: Enjoy St Louis this Fall
Posted by admin on September 29, 2011
The sweltering heat has disappeared (mostly), the leaves are changing colors and it’s officially time to celebrate the changing season here in St. Louis. Not everybody has the time to get out of town for a vacation this season, but that doesn’t mean you can’t load up the Chevy and see all that St Louis has to offer you. After spending nearly 70 years in this great city, Johnny Londoff Chevrolet would like to offer up some tips on the best fall fun to be had here. Check out our list!
- Oktoberfest. What’s October without Oktoberfest? Enjoy the biergarten and some polka October 7-9 at the Soulard Oktoberfest. You might want to get a babysitter for this one! There’s a more kid friendly version in Belleville as well.
- Best of Missouri Market. For the 20th year in a row, the Missouri Botanical Garden will be transformed into a giant outdoor market. Find the best of Missouri from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Oct 1 and 2.
- Apple Picking. Just a short drive outside the city and you can find several apple orchards. What tastes better than an apple you picked yourself? Try Eckert’s Milstadt Farm for some family friendly fun and events. A 30 minute drive south will also take you to the city of Kimmswick’s Apple Butter Festival on October 29 and 30.
Just because the temperatures are getting cooler doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy St. Louis – and you won’t even need a full tank of gas to get there. Load up the Equinox or Cruze with your family and celebrate autumn. After all, it only happens once a year!
